For the next patch, I think it'd be ideal to revert the assassin trap placement to vanilla. Especially since Terry removed some of the walls where traps could be exploited (ala Mephisto).

It is really difficult to get my traps to attack a certain mob when I'm being swarmed and counters are a pain in the ass since by the time I drop 5 traps the first 3 are shooting and counters are coming my way.

Also, shock web feels lacking despite it's high damage on the character screen (perhaps increase its pulse rate?).

Shadows + traps "casted" everyplace on your linesight -> rapist

fire trapper + light trapper + any druid with oak safety love ( not even that... ) -> gg. I wonder if you could even "snipe" LoS antiheroes with no problems with the vanilla-cheap trapping placement

If you are getting raped by counters before you can lay down 5 traps? Then get more ias and move a yard or two every two traps laid. Traps at the feet works well, traps anywhere on the screen is seriously OP.

Traps at feet are fine. Instead of bitching about that, something that doesn't really gimp the build at all; you should be drawing attention to the fact that half the trap skills suck.

I'm looking at you Wake of Inferno and Shock Web; you terrible excuses of skills. I've played a Fire trapper to a5 hell. Never once found Wake of Inferno to do any real killing; ever. IIRC; it doesn't even receive bonuses from -Res.

Problems with traps is that they don't instaki-- death sentry.

Why not just add a 1/3 screen range to traps, rather than full range?
