hi everyone,
i am just wondering if anyone has some tips or intel for a vengence paladin?
things like :
1)do i max all elements+convincition or only one+conviction
2)max holy shield?
3)what other skills should i use? and is there any 1point wonders like conversion maybe? or redemption for undead ares? vigor to speed up things?

and the main question is what mods really benefit that kind of char the most?
+skills/ar/res?
and what about survivalbility? i dont wanna relly on LL ,is there any other way to keep my life bulf up?
is block mechanics in hu same as in normal d2? atleast on paladins , i remember that i needed 86% of "someting" to be maxed but its been awhile since i'd played so i forgot alot of what i used to know

Try maxing sanctuary + synergies and using vengeance as your attack.

20 sanctuary
20 conviction
20 conversion
1 or 20 vengeance
1 or 20 holy shield

I never made a Vengeance Paladin before but I've been thinking about making one lately. This is what I would do with it:

20 Vengeance. (+1 Sacrifice. +1 Zeal.).
20 Conviction.
20 Holy Shield. (+1 Charge. +1 Smite.).
15 Holy Fire.
15 Holy Shock.
15 Holy Freeze.
1 Defiance.
1 Vigor.
1 Redemption.

Main reason I am avoiding making one though is it's not fun balancing AR/Def/Peirce/Skills/Blocking/Hp etc on one character.

If you are running conviction, you should never have any problems with AR.
Same thing with +skills, they are not really important as your damage comes mainly from the weapon. Just focus on hp/block and pierce.

For a pierce settup, the ele set is very nice. You don't need tons and tons either, as 2/3 of your damage will be at full power and gaining the full -res from convic most of the time.

I gear them more melee based than caster based.

On my vengeance I went with a conviction build and maxing the Auras. Although he's only level 75 or so, I find him to be very strong against trash and a minimal amount of life leech seems to do fine at keeping the health globe full. Don't forget also how powerful it can be to flash redemption every once in a while

A million times this. Never forget that all your physical damage transfers to the magical. If you get caught up to much in the magical side of your character it will become terrible. Pierce is where its at and no elemental DPS will complain from conviction aura.
