Well normal mephisto seems immortal to me. Hit him with a weapon (max damage was around 1100, with some crushing blow) yesterday and I almost fell asleep. His life bar remained unchanged. Maybe I should try some magic damage, but I'm just curious...

I see. Currently I'm focusing on war cry.

Perhaps I can try inserting some perfect diamonds into my weapons. It sounds like mephy also has some magic absorbtion.

yea go diamonds in your wep ftw. Your 1/2 magic damage just might be too low to counter his regen? Not sure about the magic sorb on him

where's your barb at? how's he doing? I've been wanting to make one this patch but haven't got around to it

I'm playing single player + plugy (mule purpose).

Now the barb is level 45, farming Travincal to gain 1 or 2 more level.
So far diamonds work well against trash, but I still need lots of potions to tank bosses.

I have wasted too many points in combat skill tree before level 36 (otherwise killing bosses with merc would have driven me mad), so currently I'm lacking of both physical and magical power. I fight minor bosses with concentrate/berserk and use wc against mobs(in fact, merc does a better job than me).

Need 2 skill rings to boost wc damage a bit I guess.

Things I learned as a low level player:

1. Double swing is good, but frenzy sucks if you only want to spend 1 point. :(
2. Money = better equipment (gem, socketing, crafting, etc.)
3. Gem shrines ftw
4. Get rid of mobs on the way, just in case you can't beat the dungeon boss.

I have a WC at 95. It's pretty nice for trash but a bit weak on bosses. He can farm with 2 Werted whatsthefuckiname swords for 900mf. Which is very nice for the rare droppers (They seem to drop 1-2 uniques each time). I don't have his end-game gear/charms yet but i'd say WC is very nice. Especially with the change to gore riders. Also noticed pre-enigma WW is a nice way to get around with him.
