having made a couple golemancers this ladder, I will say this: With self oak + self bo Maxed Fire Golem vs belial lazarus baal fire wave and all other fire bosses I can't think of, he's practically invincible, and if he dies it is with ample time for recast

1 Pt Clay Golem any cold sub boss such as anya dragon he lives til cooldown np (if he dies)
NOW - I will say for act bosses, max blades are still a must IMO. Only way my golems have lived til cooldown and tanked act bosses are with max bo, max oak, and bolts. Pappy, Imp, and I did andy with IG, dury with IG, meph with 1 pt blood is a bitch, but we did it, and dia with FG. So, golems are able to get the job done, but one little mistake and the tank goes down and things start going haywire, then you gotta switch to blades to pin the boss down, and if they aren't maxed, they die instantly and contain nothing.

not to mention, in tough los portals such as a2 and a5, the fg is always last man standing
EDIT: one more thing I forgot to mention is that my FG was able to hang with a max grizzly when tanking any boss, regardless of element
