Hi guys i started a druid today and i was wondering what skills to max to him for frostbite..... first of all i was wondering if i skill werewolf or werebear...as i understand wolf is more of a dps and bear is tanky build. I want to go werewolf tho (dunno if bear is better for frostbite either) i was also thinking i should max oak as well for the health boost. So as far as it goes i have

max oak
max frostbite
max werewolf/bear (still havent decided)
max lycanthropy
and if i go wolf should i also put some points on pheral rage or it wont be usefull?? also should i upgrade the synergies on frostbite??

also what merc is more usefull?? should i get an a3 cold for slow or go for something aggresive to use against trash??

Thanks for reading and have a nice day :)
(ill worry about equipment later but i few advice would be usefull :P)

Edit : also how should i spent my stat points?? do i go spent enough str just for the requirments and find hp charms to make up for it??

Max Fbite/Hurricane/Cyclone/Oak/Lycan. Don't forget to one point grizzly and carrion vine. You're going to want to use bear form. Bear has slightly better IAS BPs(also has worse FBR/FHR but you can get around it).

For mercenary I would either go A2 and load it with useful auras(think blessed aim gloves, fanat(for AR) or holy aura/infinity(for pierce) weapons/shield), or go A3 fire/lit for immunes.

For stats you're pretty much spot on. I'd shoot for around 75 base strength or so depending on what items you wanna use later on. Until you decide and get to late game I'd keep your strength somewhat low and compensate with amethyst in armor/helm slots and or strength items in your gear.

I agree with DrRod on all points but a few, I maxed HoW for the ar/dr/dmg boosts provided. I wouldn't waste any points in Feral rage especially after the nerf hammer struck this patch, one point it, would need good amp and strong phys dmg to see much benefit anyway. I like the act3 PnB merc, ain't much it can't kill and his bone armor helps him live better. I skipped the bear/wolf summons, only useful vs trash and then barely w/o +skills. Max your dmg skills first, and put remaining points in lycan. Only thing I'm lacking for mine is Valor and a few high-end charms.

I'm thinking of starting a frostbite druid after the reset and what you guys have said has been useful.

I have a noob question though. Why is it better to invest points in lycanthropy instead of wearbear? I'm sorry if the answer is obvious, its just not obvious to me.

Thanks

It adds hp. Increasing werebear doesn't.
