Hey

Giving HU another spin with a few buddies on tcp/ip. Which compositions would you recommend for 3-4 (maybe a 5th) char setup if you exclude the abusive builds (psn, meteor)?
If you were limited to magic/phys and one elemental build, would fire or cold be better?

On another note I still have some screens from HU in 2007 on this PC 8-)

first off, you the man for making the TL thread for HU, I wouldn't have found this mod otherwise :)

honestly if you have a team of 4 or 5 you can make whatever builds you want. If you have 3... I would say any sort of druid for big oak, a necro for blades and curses, and the third be any dps.

in case you didn't notice, there's a new patch in the works which will put physical damage back on the map. If you play this patch, melee still has a hard time against bosses in hell

That's actually a pretty impressive thread Corr made. New to viewing TL, so never saw it. Good effort over there senor!

You could always go with 3 druids for HoW (damage reduction 20%), Oak (lots o life) and SoB (pois res, duration reduction and absorbs 10%). So maybe a Fury mutt or Summoner, Fire or Rabies druid and Windy or Frost Bite druid, and a something else (nec or healer). Have always wanted to see how well a party like that works.

Yeah, the TL thread got a lot of attention. Sadly most people tried to play HU as if it were regular D2 and they got bored pretty quickly I think.

No rabies, abusing thorns+summons would be a last resort for an encounter. Basically staying away from all the cheesy stuff.
Is the 'geddon druid any good for bosses before it gets OP items?
We've landed on fc druid/blizz sorc/nec/pala for now. Some of the players aren't that experienced and I'd hate to get stuck somewhere in NM or some shit.

eh... my fstorm/geddon druid was twinked out, but was pretty OP through norm/nm. He's great for boss fights and fun to play though

Blizz Sorceress + Full Support can carry you to A5 Hell for the most part, only real trouble being tough teleporters (Darkness) and of course cold immunes. Blizzard is definitely a powerhouse and with Pal/Dru/Nec, I don't see much being scary given Conviction + Lower Resist + Oak + two summon spam classes.

foh/hammerdin can do it all, just not as fast as the popular builds.

Doing fine for now, blizzard damage is getting out of control in a5 normal.
Thoughts on a2 vs a5 merc on sorc? The added prayer is rather nice but I'm not sure the a2 is beefy enough...
Also anyone got the clvls required to use the 3 rings/amu recipe and have a shot at at the +3/1xx life/chromatic/str pr lvl amulets and +1/1xx life rings?

How viable are phys builds vs hellbosses paired with a max amp?
What about the phoenix 'sin?

dury will be a bitch cuz of smite dr%, but others are do-able with a nice amp. Will be slower than your LR+psn tho.
