Post subject:  Best Weapon for Zeal paly
I'm planning on making zeal/fanat paly. What would be best weapon or weapon's for it?? I always had that problem ;/ never knew what weapon to use on that. Ic can be unique it can be rw. whatever, just wanna know ur opinion which weapon is best for that kind of build.
P.S. off topic question how to calculate dex for paly max block?

The formula for final block chance is:

base block chance * [(soft dexterity - 15)/(2 * char level)] = final block chance (result rounded down)

base block chance is what the shield would have without any increased block chance + whatever increased block chance gear/skills you have. If your base block chance is 75 you would need 215 dex at level 100 for max block (thus one would have to spend 2 dex per level to have maintain a final block chance equal to their base block after the initial 15 at lvl 1).

So no answer about weapon :D

Also about block, how to calculate increase block chance and holy shield added block chance to this calcualtion. I'm not sure but with 95 paly shield(unique) and like 32 lvl holy shield it is needed 90 dex or so. But it would be nice to know exacly how to calculate that so i could use other shields :D

EDIT. Ignore what i wrote above i just read wrong what u wrote :D But have another question, Increased block chance from gear is same that skill gives?? so i can get like 180 block chance??

Edit 2 Where i can find shields block rates, and is this at HUDB site accurate ones?

hi , berserker axe rare eth rolled to 511ed with some good jewels in and a zod is the best zeal weapon for trash , im not sure about crushing blow that might be 5 ber'ed griswold weapon.

All Base block rates are here. Some classes such as paladins get a class based base block chance bonus (I believe it's 10% for paladins in HU, but don't quote me on it since I haven't really checked in a while). Also any gear increased block chance is equal to holy shield increased block chance. There's a display bug for the listed block chance on shields being listed as 75% even though they are above 75%. Also it does not matter where on your gear your get increased block chance.

As for the amount of base block chance... as far as I'm aware there is no limit to it (meaning 180% would be possible). Block breakpoints with holy shield are a whole other matter though since holy shield does not always give 50% FBR in this mod (which throws any existing pally with holy shield block speed tables out the window).

If you are actually genuinely getting max block at just 90 dex though that would mean you have 200% base block chance.
