What do I gear him with I have the +3 blizz staff just don't know what else I put on him <_< also is it really the best for poizon? Seems everything poison immune is cold immune lol |

I find it hard to keep my mercs alive without spamming pots on them so I always make a holy crafted sword so they have redemption aura and fill it with 4 gems for the kind of damage they do, in this case sapphires. With this he'll do crazy damage. Topaz crafted gloves are pretty awesome, gives +cold skill damage and -enemy cold res. I got 2 frost rings from the elemental set and saracen's chance as amy. Gona craft a amethyst belt for fcr and I got a amethyst crafted shield with gems in it for res and absorb. Amethyst crafted boots are pretty sweet too. Dont have a good head and chest for my merc but that kinda depends what you got I guess. But a topaz crafted chest is always pretty sweet for casters. There are ofc better gear, like naj set is pretty sweet, but I dont have that so I went with this and he kinda rapes everything anyway. |

+3 Blizzard (Sorceress Only) skills will NOT effect your a3 merc. Only +1 All Skills. The set up verb said works really well. But, mine has full naj (4 uber saphs in staff, 3 cold facets in helm, res jewels in armor), topaz craft gloves, cast craft boots, res rings, zak amulet, trip res/30fhr belt. 98% pierce, several +1 skills, max res, best fcr bp, decent fhr. Since I'm teeth, he doesn't have a problem staying alive until certain bosses. On other a3 mercs, I like to throw skulls in their helm/armor and the regen does a good job keeping them alive |

according to blue + specific skills work with a3 mercs, blizzard, fireball meteor etc why everyone wants +3 blizz staffs for time. just + sorc skills do not work on a3 mercs |

gave mine soulmancer set, elemental set, wizspike, ward shield, and topaz crafted armor the only time i need to give him potions is against the bosses |

IMO get a pz n bone merc and equip him with - magic Resistance, it breaks tons of immunities of trast (even in hell) and the teeth/bonespear/spirit is the best at killing trash. I dont recall seeing a "magic and pz immune" boss, however others swear on it. Get a cold merc when u have a time staff, its super IMBA for a merc (10 skills -60 res +1 to natura res, shit ton fcr ect ect) and turns ur cold merc into a boss killer. - this is for pz immune bosses. |

btw PmP, you cant break a immunity simply by having alot of -enemy res on your gear, you can only break resistances with auras and curses http://blue.arimyth.com/ read the bottom part on boss resists. Though the PnB merc aura can break immunitys but probably only poison no idea about magic. |

Decided to go with a lightning merc because most of the immunes I run into are cold poison and I have a meteor sorc to deal with poison immune bosses. Gonna go with Naj's set with the staff full of the Topazs. |
