Post subject:  Boss killing/damage builds

Okey so trying to figure out 1 or 2 good chars to roll. I got the chars I enjoy playing up and running but I need some real good boss killing chars. So I thought I'd try to gather a list of good boss killing builds to see what to choose from.
Hopefully you guys can help me get a good list here...
Doesnt have to be builds that can solo shit, just builds that could easily or more easily then other builds kill bosses effectivly.
By that I mean good damage builds.
So melee/phy builds are out of the question(for now).

Psn: zon, rabies.
Fire: blaze, meteor, firestorm.

Okey I seriously dont know anymore boss killing builds then these....
There's got to be some cold builds that work well, maybe blizzard? or arctic blast/hurricane?
Does trapsins work? or do they cause to many counters?

Any contribution to the thread is appreciated

if you can get a hurri druid like tankergod going u can do everyone except duriel. he did like 160k dmg with hurricane

That is false, he did 160k hurricane when accounting -resistance as damage increase. 130k is roughly the maximum without taking -resistance into account.

Arctic blast druids are decent if you have someone to tank,
hurricane is not so good but you can kill bosses with it just by standing in bear form and using rejuves, not so efficient.

so if you guys where to make one of these chars, wich one would you do?
I'm thinking firestorm druid mostly because I play on hc and its a lot safer to have oak/lycan.
But I guess firestorm does way less damage then meteor and blaze....
what do you guys think?

I have. Blizz is pretty nice, need to tele much and keep few diamonds early or stick with high oak druids but damage you'll get - 14k blizz with lenymo + tarnhelm@norm baal is worth it.

put at least one point into the first wolf, its very useful as summon spam, or up to bear for a mini tank around 10k life after bo/self oak end game gear very useful. Spirit of barbs also very useful

Low lvl lit trapsin reportin' (lv 59 atm)

Charged bolt sentry can have a decent impact on bosses, but the counters are horrendous.
Was in a Diablo killin' game last nite and I got a few people killed by the way of counters from charged bolt sentry (ups) (I did cast them at a away from party spot, but still...those aoe counters...). Changed to lightning sentry after that and it was more manageable but noticeably lower damage inflicted on boss.

I'm happy to report tho that charged bolt sentry raped Izual in 25 secs. I casted all 5 on the same spot, he teled over them and got owned real fast due to eating mass charged bolts of 7k dmg x 10 bolts per discharge x 5 sentrys @-30 enemy res. The counters were amazing.

Overall, trapsin seems to be doing ok with hit-and-run tactics at bosses. At bosses with aoe counters (Duriel, shenk's catapult etc) a charged bolt sentry or 5 can kill you, your party, your cat, your dog, your dog's poison amazon and your first born 7 generations down the line...but awareness and a quick pot/run can work wonders

With a tank/decoy in the party u can use

meteor sorce (u can spam it from far away and the DPS really kills when stacked - this also kills trash with a FB build) (NEED TANK)

artic blast druid (kills faster than pz - very high DPS) (NEED TANK)

as for trap sin, make a wake of inferno sin with armageddon rw ca do at least 200k damage per second per trap (lvl 99 ofc) ( i dont like the trap at feet thing, also hate that WOF does not use the -res)

I would like to make a holy fire charger/zealot with armageddon (kills hell leoric in 1 zeal i hear). u would have to go toe to toe which may not be the best for hc.

I'd say the most potent char against bosses is a healer

Doesn't have much dps (^_^)! , but can keep alive a decently built char against all bosses. The healer can make the difference between a "I can't believe how we barely lived through that, good thing we had a juv bomb ready" and "Oh lol, is he trying to dmg me?"
But you wanted a dmg dealing char soo...

Bout trapsins and armageddon, I'd hold off on that till blue decides on the course of action for that rw.

From PmP's list I'd pick druid over the sorc, solely cuz of higher life bulb+live buff and the life/mana vine with 1 pointers.

Lightning sins can rape because their traps last a decent amount of time. Counters are shot in the direction of the traps, not the player. Fire traps do good damage, once you get wake of inferno up there, but again the durations are much lower.
