Post subject:  Good Merc for Lightning Zon?
Thoughts on what a good merc type to go with would be for a lightning amazon?

I've been thinking Cold like I have already used, but I don't know if it's good. Auras, and shit.

Thoughts?

I would recommend a act3 merc, they're kickass. I dont know what the light ama is good at but if you kill trash fast as fuck already then I would get a cold merc.

I don't quite know yet, either.

It's performing well so far. Looks to be a good crash-clearer.


The Chain Lightning shit is amazing, and looks badass. Lightning Bolt is basically Zon TK.


Thinking Cold Merc myself also. Blizzard just rips.

Personally last ladder I went dream(-10%light res + slow) + doom(holy freeze + slow) + medusa(ctc lr) a5merc for max slow, he tanks all right on tundra, ofc he won't be damage-wise bad ass - doom in 1handers gives low dmg, 10k tops. If you don't need tanks - decoy + valk you already have but not as good as other chars bcos lightning is 80point - then go a3 merc, any to clear light immunes.

Think I will go with this.

One of the things I've realized is that, percisely because of Lightning being an 80 point build, my Decoys and Valks are really fucking weak, especially right now, when I need them the most. (Not outfitted in good gear yet.)

Dream is doable. I think I have a Medusas stashed somewhere, and Doom is NP. Would you suggest throwing him an Ardurals for further CTC (level 3) LR?


Plate-wise we're just looking at some tank shit with Rubies? Or is there a RW/Unique that's especially good?

well, unrealistically, war rocks. other than that, leviathan and steel carapace are solid candidates imo

also, safety crafts can get pretty beastly if you want to go down that route. it also opens up 4 sockets for diamonds(my choice) or rubies/

I'm with Steel on this one, A2 or bust. Not because LF needs another tank, but because you can stack auras on him and get some delicious convert. The ranged mercs(a3,a1) are alright, but after your LF zon is doing decent damage you're going to be killing and moving so fast they'll never even get the chance to attack. I don't even bother with immunes, just cast a decoy and run by.
