I was thinking about this today and decided to post alittle something and see what others think as well.

I decided that tankability would be #1 key. Trash killing/boss killing thrown to the wayside. A3 merc would clear all my trash.

was thinking for skills
20 conc
20 zerk
20 bo
20 stanima
1 pointers
For the last skill i was thinking about iron skin. with only 1 point into mastery or a few left over at the end.

Curious what others though about the idea of maxed ironskin as opposed to maxed mastery. Reason i decided on leaving mastery behind over zerk is because i was thinking the magic dmg would be more important in the conc conversion then the crit strike given by mastery overall. as long as im slapping whoever with my big flacid penis known as a melee baba weapon my defense should be massive. Also planning on around 15%+ on each sorb (maybe alot more) and atleast 20% DR and possibly Maxed block, MB depending on dext amount and barb resist in hell with unsocketed ward shield.

Any comments welcomed! unless you are lee... ;)

Bear druid is far better for tanking . Just bo him with max shout and max bo.
Barbarian is only good for bo.

reason im chosing baba or a bear is because of the ease of getting max block compared to bear/fhr. another reason is the DR from ironskin.

Something can be big and flaccid.

I'd get as much defense as possible to mitigate as many attacks as possible. The damage from crit and zerk are going to be so menial that it's not worth investing either way. Not sure how good those extra 19 points in ironskin would be, but I'd definitely take mastery over zerk. Zerk converts your damage, so you'll be doing 80% physical and 20% magical, which is pitiful damage either way to bosses due to magic sorbs and then it just hurts your ww against mobs. You can always 1pt zerk the immunes.

If you don't even plan on using a 2h, I would focus strictly on getting as much defense as possible. Socket all diamonds.

You do know that the dr from ironskin isnt % right? so you'll only get 20 pdr from it maxed wich isnt a whole lot, though the armor you get from it is excellent

It's not a ton of DR, but it adds up, and every bit counts. 4 diamonds in the tyraels and 3 in dhorn will give you a fuckload of pdr/mdr.

as it would to any char tho.
IMO for strictly tanking id say the paladin is out there at number one. auras/free dr so long as you can buff him he's your best bet for straight tanking.

yeah i agree zikur but i dont want to rely on two buffs. that is one of the reason i chose baba.
