Post subject:  Quick questions about Barbarian mercenary

Hi,

I've searched a few term in this forum about barbarian mercenary +skill equipment, but none answers these questions:

1. Can my barbarian mercenary benefited from + barb skill from any item? (e.g. immortal set or a crafted diamond with +2 barb skill +1 combat skills or +1 masteries)
2. Can my bear merc get any kind of synergies for it's maul/rabies/stun skill from a charged item?

Thank you

1. no
2. probably. I can't think of any that would provide a notable benefit though.

Do you mean that +all skills works, or that specifically only +1 to all skills works?

And if it's the second, what would happen if you gave him an item with +2 to all skills?

Also what kind of gear would be recommended for this merc, i was thinking of immortal set when I can get my hands on it but until then I'm just trying to make it as tanky as possible so i can MF a bit.

+all skills works

I dont know about IK set, but I like my ele set, sapphire craft boots, tri res belt, tri res gloves, glassglare, and holy craft helm on mine.

I have a question about a5 mercs too-
Is only IAS from their weapon calculated when in bear form? I think that's the case while in bear form for druids, but I think that a5 mercs may be different?

Thanks in advance
