planning a tk/tstorm pk los necro killer sorc
max es tk cb, tstorm and light mastery rest in warmth probably 113 pt build
got 50 vit 50 energy so far
is base 100vit worth it for ES?

Assuming 95% ES, you'll want as much mana as possible.

If you're making it to kill the LoS necro, then it doesn't really matter if manaburn rapes it, and yes manaburn does generally rape ES sorcs. Not that they're useless around them, since essentially you can just CB and keep teleporting backwards.

you'll mostly use "omg, mana burn" or "omg, lag" skills while playing ES sorc. I never saw ES sorc that admited dying being a noob.

Few hints:
1) All attacks except psn skip negate/positive res, so it doesn't matter if you have 75% or -100% fire res, damage to your shield will be always Full aka 0%res
2) PSN hits you directly, not ES so you'll eventually have "always-1-hit-point" as you want to max energy only, not vita. Keep as high as possible psn res, reduction, antidotes.
3) mana burn is insta death, always. First you're completely mana drained then you're stuck bcos any noob can do more than 1/12 of your hp(need FHR as high as possible to avoid stun, but you'll die).
4)If you tele into pack of mobs you say "fuck, lag" when you die.

go 5 vita, I've seen several 5 vita es and they were good. Just don't die to rats outside town, rest is easy.

well i was thinking since getting hit = mana burn= death, then not getting hit (high block) less one shot mana burn less death?

huh? getting hit dont = manaburn... if something has manaburn then fair enough but the only bugged mana burn is applied via melee (missiles work correctly), you shouldn't be getting hit in melee as a sorc.

then i dont understand how mana burn works, i thought all creatures drain mana when they physical or ranged hit you, or is it just monsters with "mana burn" /bosses cause you to go to 0 mana instantly

mana burn is fucked for melee attacks. Normally it should work like:
Monster does 1000 dmg
Monster has mana burn
Mana burn is set to 125% damage
Monster does 1000dmg to your life and 1250 to your mana. OFC this works for ranger but for melee this is wrong as it multiply all damage by 256. so if monster does 1 dmg, mana burn is 100%, you're getting 1 dmg to hp and 256 to mana.
Mana burn on archers still hurts if they hit you, they hit your ES and extra your mana.

PS: I don't have now right number how mana burn (ele dmg overall) is, I don't have modding tools right now... nor txt files.

anything that isn't a boss gets steamed by CB anyway, and you don't wanna use cb on a boss.

If you cast a few times then tele ahead into the path of the bolts, then cast again. You get a constant wall of death that wipes everything. Your merc will run up and hold any light immune mana burners for you.

Ps. medi merc is amazing with super high mana. With 1 point warmth and medi merc, my old static sorc was recovering full mana in less than 10 secs. If you go over 10k mana (not too hard), thats 1k mana per sec regeneration (enough to keep you mostly safe). Obviously, Tobial > you for the most part, same with Amon (though you can get away with taking a few hits if you have high regeneration)
