Interesting to see that the ladder has reset and to see the new website. Nice heh.
Anyways, looking for a sorc build.
I got another higher level char to provide some decent items. This char will remain higher level than the sorc, so there will usually be some availability of uniques for her. I will play her when I have the time and I'm not playing other chars, so she is a secondary priority to play than the other chars.
A very important condition is that she will play unrushed through the game. I have found on other chars that usually a capable tank is needed for act bosses, which is why my main char is a barb
, and have decided to make a sorc as a viable damage char to play the game through.Long term I would like her to be able to farm some uniques and runes from easier A5 Hell bosses, I do not want her to be a superb farmer but to just farm decently solo.
Now for the sexy one.
The main obstacle seems to be act bosses, especially the later ones, so to end them I want the sorc to do good boss damage throughout most of the game on most bosses with different AI.
Summing up, I would like;
- Good boss damage most of the time
- Mediocre farmer
- Single-element(duo-element is fine, but not a priority)
Not having played a sorc much, I think these are the builds that are relevant:
- Meteor/fireball
- Blizzard/Ice Blast or Glacial Spike
- Lightninng/Chain Lightning/Charged Bolt
I know little about strength of sorc builds, so the final sum up and question.
What are your experiences with these 3 sorc builds throughout the game especially on bosses and to a lesser degree late-game farming?
