Post subject:  Upgrading my Javazon.
Thread #2 for my Zon. Looking for some advice.

Currently all I really have left to max is Decoy and Disease Spray. I'm level 71 in Act 2 of Nightmare. Currently no access to elite items(from what I've seen from gambling).

Titan's Revenge - 3x Tal Runes
Rare gauntlets - +3 Jav skills
Random +1 zon skill rare ring(Have yet to roll a decent topaz craft)
Bul-Kathos Ring(same reason as above)
-8/11% poison belt
Skin of the Flayed One(Moonstone Ruby)
Caster crafted boots with +1 skills
Stormchaser(Moonstone Skull)
Cat's Eye Amulet(Not sure if I can roll anything better at the moment)
Rare Coronet(+3 Javelin Skills, 20% Faster Run/Walk, 143 Mana, 31% Poison res)(2x starstone diamonds, 2x starstone rubies)



My damage is 113k-114k with Plague Javelin. I have an act 3 cold mercenary with:

Hwainin's Splendor circlet(triple amn'd for 60% FCR)
Spectral Shard
Telling of Beads amulet
2x Horardric Rings
Magefists
Gloom's Trap belt
Wall of the Eyeless
+1 skill crafted caster boots



Currently it seems that farming King Leoric for items/gold in Nightmare is my best bet. I'm looking for tips/advice/gear input. Is my damage what it should be for my level?

MS topaz craft your belt, it'll be a huge upgrade. Gamble then roll a magic zon jav for +5-6 and put emeralds opposed to tal runes into it.

MS topaz crafted armor will be way better than the shitty unique and it also comes with four sockets. Finally, pierce is more important at this stage than increased damage.

Nope. I have a meteor sorc and bone necro that plays also. Unfortunately, they don't play as often as I do and I like to do farming and such in my spare time. I'm trying to increase my damage as much as I can so that when we play together, we're not struggling to do stuff.

However, I have been trying to farm Normal Nilithak with LOTS of issues. I don't have issues anywhere in Normal than with him. I can even solo the guy who drops the Gift of the Dead charm with 3 other people in the game. But I cannot do nilithak. He's 1-2 hitting me with corpse explosion -.-

Any tips?

SS or MS diamond craft on weapon for redemption aura.
Unique gloves with oskill redemption.
CE/PE/summon skele/etc the corpses.
Nature's peace ring.

I, and I'm sure a lot of others, wouldn't mind buying an elite item for you and giving it to you to craft.

If anyone doesn't mind, I would like:

1-2 Dusk Shrouds or Wyrmhides
1-2 Spiderweb Sash
1-2 Wyrmhide boots

If you want any kind of payment, let me know.

Do I want both gloves AND the aura on my weapon? Or will one suffice?

there is a runeword that has oskill cloak of shadows in a knfie make it will help a lot on dmg, use as weapon switch

On a weapon switch would be ideal, it's just meant to switch weapons and clear corpses. The gloves don't really give +skills, where as the weapon switch is negligible. CoS is definitely not needed in terms of damage, especially if you're twinked.

Ormus has charges of it.

Okay, so done a bit of upgrading. My party is now in Act 5 Nightmare, and I am able to (For the most part) solo everything except Diablo and Poison Immunes. I'm level 83.

My gear:
http://boonce.org/up/items.JPG + Stormchaser and Titan's for bosses. I like the redemption to keep me full hp/mp at all times. If anyone sees changes that should be made, let me know. Still attempting to craft better rings + an amulet.

I am very close to maxing Decoy and I do 118k-119k over 8.2 seconds. I have 2.6k health with battle orders(We finally got the runes to make a CTA and then have a spirit on switch) but I can still get 1 hit from chargers. Basically the second I see them on the screen I'm dead. :( -- Wondering what I should upgrade to help combat this.

Also some of my party members have questions(they're too lazy to make an account here):

1) What ilvl are items from merchants? One of my friends thinks it's a static level of 33 or something like that.
2) When can we gamble elites? Currently I am the highest level(83) and from what I can tell it's not possible for me to gamble even a spiderweb sash yet.
3) Where is a good nightmare farming spot for elites if we can't gamble them yet?

1. Iirc it's dependent on difficulty and the merchant.
2. Elite = 1 + (ilvl - elite qlvl) * 33 / 100 (in normal d2 anyways)
3. Tundra drops a decent amount if I remember right. Most people would shop them for you if you asked.

1)ilvls from vendors is based on both difficulty and level as I recall.
2)Don't think it's possible to gamble elite uniques. As for gambling it's +4/-5 relative to clvl.
3)most people farm tundra and wsk2 for good items. Basically any late act5 area with lots of mobs is a good place to work.
