Quick question, is there any way of obtaining a 6 socketed one handed weapon besides randomly finding one?

i tried that with a crystal sword and it didn't seem to work, i guess perhaps they can only be a max of 5? or do you add the socket and then use an x-socket? sorry i'm a bit confused.

again may depend on what difficulty u use the socket quest may need hell,or ilvl or the item i dunno

ok think i figured it out, i wasn't using an unsocketed white item in the socket slot. thanks for the info. Had the impression you had to 5 socket an item then the socket quest added the 6th for some reason. Never needed one before heh. Thanks again.

if it has not changed from bnet socket quest adds max number of sockets allowed on the item no matter what dif

Is there a list somewhere out there of the 6 socketable weapons? I've been finding out the hard way some of the weapons i'd like to use are max of 5 sockets :(
