How does it really work, there are for instance throwing weapons like the balanced axe wich is a axe class weapon.
Would a runeword that works in axes(among others) work in a throwing weapon like the balanced axe?

anything that gives you the "throw" command when you hit 's' is considered a throw weapon and you can make a throw rw out of it.

go to blue's site and go to items-white-throw and you will see ALL the throw class weapons that you can make those rws out of.

Obviously, if the rw says "weapon" it means any weapon and the rw will work.

What I am NOT sure about is when it says "melee weapons" for rws. Since I can run up and melee with my throw axes, maybe they're considered melee weapons as well? Haven't tried it. Would be easy to test with a low rw tho...

awesome thanks slappy, do you know if axe rws work in balanced axe and such?
I'll see if I can find a low lvl rw and try them out :P

I just tried Malice(ith+el+eth) on a balrog spear and it totally worked :D
Not that I'm gona keep that on it, I just wanted to try it.
Thats a melee weapon runeword btw, dont have enough runes to try a axe only rw on a balanced axe or something like that. Not sure I'm even gona try that though :P

no way!? so you're saying that the "melee" weapon runewords are working on throw axes? That's pretty fuckin sweet.. I'll have to review the rw list with that new perspective...
