Post subject:  staves?
hi.

just a quick question about staves

im thinking of making a rune word but what class weapon is a stave,

i know low lvl sorc staffs are called staves but do items like battel staffs or other staffs still class as staves?

They have 'Staff class' written on them. It's not really hard to recognize them if you see them. But here's a list of their names:

Normal:
Short staff
Long staff
Gnarled staff
Battle staff
War staff

Exceptional:
Jo staff
Quarterstaff
Cedar staff
Gothic staff
Rune staff

Elite:
Walking stick
Stalagmite
Elder staff
Shillelagh
Archon staff

Orbs don't count as staves.

If you're interested in a staff with +3 to a skill that is level 20 or lower, then shopping in normal at the A2 vendor is a great way to get it. Even if you shop with a high level character, he will offer a few (3 to 6) non-magic staves. You'll probably have to shop about 300 times before finding a staff with +3 to your skill. After about 30-45 minutes of shopping, I got a staff with +3 Blaze and +2 Inferno for "Flickering Flame". It's a great item :)
