Post subject:  Hard points, oskills, and synergies

I began building an auradin and after exploring a few possibilities it spawned a few questions-

If I fully synergize holy fire, then run it from a oskill, it works fully synergized. Let's say the Holy Fire oskill is lvl 5, so I have a lvl 5 fully synergized aura.

Now- my question is: how do Hard skill points affect the oskill? Does oskill ignore hardpoints? So in this case, if I had pumped 20 points into holy fire, but ran it from the oskill, it would still run at lvl 5?

Or is the adverse true, where the oskill acts like a +holy fire on top of my hard points, resulting in a fully synergized lvl 25 holy fire running from oskill?

Thanks

in Vanilla O-skills are capped at +3 if the o-skill is a skill of your chartype.
dunno if its changed here, though..

Right, but what I mean is - for example:
Revenge shield, gives +3 holy fire/cold/lite auras. If I already had 1 point into each, would the auras from the shield all run at lvl 4? Or does it run at lvl 3?

I suppose this would be a really easy thing to test, I just need one of those fuckin shields! lol

This is essentially the answer.

If you have a point in Holy Fire, you can't run the oskill so you would just get a +3 skill bonus.
