That prety much covers it.

You can choose Decoy vs Valk. Decoy has a faster timer (3 seconds vs 6 seconds), costs less mana (decreases about 1.5 mana per two levels starting around 20, while Valk increases from around 40), and doesn't cause counters by attacking. I'm not sure what benefits Valk has since I haven't really used on in ages.

Just like a Poizon Necro, you'll want to get access to Venom skill. That might be by using "Treachery" armor for the lvl 20 Venom on strike, or by using "Pestilence" wand for the lvl 11 oSkill Venom. The armor takes up more room in the inventory and uses lower runes (Lem is highest).

I've got a PZon just starting NM, so lvl 64 with reasonable gear (+2 circlet, +2 ammy, magefist, 2x+1rings, +1 via HSaru set, +1 unique maiden javs), and she's doing about 40k over 8 seconds. It's nowhere near as strong as say a Blazer, but it's not like the enemy lasts longer than 1 jav in most cases, so who cares. I don't have access to Venom yet, but that just means bosses take longer.

<edit>Using IthShael for a "Shadow" dagger's Cloak of Shadows oSkill is pretty handy too, and easy to make</edit>

No real reason to choose between valk and decoy imo, psn is a 60pt build, add those two and you got 100pts.

I am finding decoy alot more useful for a psn ama as your decoy has your shield, and benefits more from your +skillers stacking your dodge abilitys, my dsecoy is able to "tank" certain bosses due to the shield/dodge/low cast time.

I am level 80, and i am now doing 85k over 8 seconds, this is my first/highest level char and i am loving it.

decoy is my favourite recastable meat shield in the game. dodge with max block is amazing and they get a good bit of life to them. 1 mana cost is fantastic later on so you can always cast it. I prefer being able to place an instant tank anywhare i need too unlike letting valk wander about freely.

when using it to tank a boss, after the boss hits it, go to unsummon and hover over the decoy and check out the modifiers it has on it.
