Seeing as I have not left normal and only really started playing HU a few questions I had.

Using a class like Barbarian is there much point using up points in all the synergies for the extra 200/400% bonus to the main skill or not.

As obviously there is a severe limit to skill points available but with all this talk of NM and HELL, I seem to be very unaware as to what is good and what is bad unlikely traditional D2.

For example increased stamina I would assume is very important; as I would a weapon master, battle orders, natural resistances, iron skin etc etc. there are far to many passives which are good as well as the synergies and seeing as I have not played hell or nightmare I would like some advice to this.

If this is not clear; if I wanted to make a WW barb or a CONC barb what would you recommend, or if it sucks to specialise then what are your thoughts.

any barb you cant go wrong with maxing inc stamina and BO from there if you're melee max your mastery since it has ed ar and the now rare critical strike. if you go for ww max it for the ar/dmg then you can do whatever with the rest, iron skin/natural res w/e
as for synergies almost all of your dmg will be coming from your weapon so you really dont need to max synergies of combat skills

Isn't it quite a bit of damage an extra 400% from synergies? ; Is there much point Specialising in frenzy as apparently there seems to be counters or something that just kills you if you use it ?

400% off weapon dmg isn't that much of a bonus really.

Barb's get the vast majority of their damage from:
1. weapon damage
2. speed of their attack

On the information tab of this website: http://blue.arimyth.com/ I put a Damage Calculator. Play around with it for a bit by entering in values and you will get a feel for how much that extra 400% boost will get you. I know its a little hard to use as you need to know the base values of weapons, but for now its as good as I could get.

only synergies on barb I'd max are zerker's so you can keep shield + 1h weapon and still do some dmg BUT these are nowhere near amazon impale + shield, with replenish on every jav + 3000% ed and 75% block you outshine every barb with magic dmg. Well it seems balanced, barb has life buffs, zon damage buffs.

Okay my next question if you don't mind.

If I was going to do Cold Sorc + Fire Sorc; with me and my twin. What advice could you give for a caster like a sorc in this mod. Would it be wise to go purely for synergies as sorceress is reliant on +skills as opposed to items?

Sorcs build are balanced for 80 point, so I'm afraid 60fire +40cold won't work, you'll struggle big time. In theory you could go 80 cold 20 fbolt 1 meteo 1 fmastery, but a3 fire merc would do better.

ah, it's cool, I misread. You'll have to get tanks, a2(any) and a5(combat or bear) mercs probably. Cold sorc will have great def buff - frozen armor castable on everyone so vs trash you should be ok, you can have problems on boss fights as merc usually insta die vs prime evils(they get 8x more dmg from them). If cold sorc is going to be cold nova she probably could tank with enough diamonds in gear, so it's wise too keep +skills and +dr% +dr +mdr gear in cube.
