Has anyone tried crushing blow vs bosses with the new values?

In Normal?
In Nightmare?
In Hell?

With chance to cast amp items?
With a necromancer?

With Whirlwind? Fury?

Crushing blow is negated by physical resistance.
Since you can't break relevent bosses in hell you can't test it.

In norm and nm there aren't any items that have it so it doesn't really even exist anymore. When I was doing NM baal on a frenzy barb, I had 0 sources of CB. For WW I have no idea how good it would be, probably decent in norm and NM if you use a bloodtree stump or something.

When me and steel were testing we found it to be okay, but considering a melee will still need a healer+max amp to be relevent against a boss such as Hell Meph, who destroys melee, then it's kind of bad. Actually going anywhere near hell Meph when decoy and spiritblade exist is a bad play, since we encourage good play then just stick to spiritblade and decoy.

Consider last season a fully twinked fury could solo hell meph with about 100 juvs, this is at like 22k hp etc etc. Lvl 92 (lvl u should be at) soloing hell meph, even last season, won't happen.

There are few maces with 3%, minotaur has 3%cb too. But these weapons are too slow tbh, it's better to invest in higher physical output thus leech more, cb has its potential on hell tho.

:-). I'd like too see any melee killing meph, really.

Was killing hellforge dragon with full ik so 4 % cb, steel had 54 % amp, was going pretty slow, had like 35 k dmg, with ww, was done in like 4 mins or maybe more not sure, was leeching enough so it was ok

10% cb on a fairly fast weapon from lvl12 on is "not existing" ??? how much you need? 25%?

Uh, and when i started my shocker, i played him together with a healer through the first acts, and andy, duri and meph went down very quickly, when we faced them. Didnt continue together afterwards and i switched to lightninggear instead of cb.
vs andy i had no shock, so zeal+cb did the job alone, and vs duriel the dmg from shock was still not huge. For meph i cant say, what killed him, but i think it was still the cb, not the shock.

normal is a joke, I can do it blindfolded.

Nm a5 onwards is when the balance issues start showing up.

that has nothing to do with you saying there would be no cb in norm... Actually there is most cb in norm, and blue asked for it in NORM/nm/hell... But nice dodging.

which weapon has 10% on normal? please show me
http://blue.arimyth.com/
My bad for dodging then, let's get into this.

All i see is slow ass shit like humungous and woestave, which i would never use because your FPA will be too high.

Bloodtree stump is the only viable crushing blow weapon i would even consider, because of 40 ias + 4% crushing blow.

Pull out your weapon speed calculator, assuming you put in a sheal rune (still normal right), and calculate either Fury or WW. (or zeal if you use sammy charm).

http://home.comcast.net/~thedragoon/wer ... anced.html

I got 10/6/6/6/6 FPA fury. Thats not amazing if you are trying to hit a 4% cb.

In hell the strongest crushing blow weapon is Earthshifter, however 10% doesnt seem right, the site is most likely wrong. IK maul is then the best CB wpn. Me and Steel just tested full IK, it came out as a pile of crap compared to any decent ele char.

Full cleglaw has it
Anyway it's hardly noticable on norm as full angelic kills andariel in no time, full tancred kills duriel fairly easy, maybe smithing meph may be the real use of this set, any info of diablo? with fireres aura on it could bring him down relatively fast, but I doubt it'd have some use later, worth checking on smiter.

10% on cleglaws set huh

i could see putting it in stash and keeping it there just for bosses, thats about it

it might be okay vs diablo, since he doesnt hit as hard as baal bosses and u can get away with that shitty shield trying to protect u, but u would carry it in cube and only pull it out for bosses

in normal anything goes because gear that is good enough to make you strong enough to solo stuff exists. lvl 40 soloing meph is not unheard of, and your damage is high enough that the 10% crushingblow and 0 damage vs a decent lvl 40 dmg wpn (deaths craft or something?oh wait that got nerfed).

so yea you might be right about normal cleglaws being good. So basically its okay in normal, which is easy anyway, which brings me back to my point, in normal pretty much anything goes and people get by, unless they are REALLY bad, or are still wearing full arctic at level 40.

Zikur? wtf? He said last season furydruid could solo, fully twinked 100lvl probably BUT 92lvl this season can't even stand near him, oh lord you communicate with quotes? my "no?" was to yours, I don't get what you meant btw. but it's confusing.
btw. I teamed with Rasta like week ago as we share one goal - help phys res fix.

humm this could be true. Lvl 62 is still normal, so maybe for normal baal you would pull this thing out if you are lucky enough to find it

Assuming your using Fury again, lets say you did 2x SS amethysts to bring it to 100%ias.

7/4/4/4/4 frames.

5% off wpn ias will give you 6/4/4/4/4 fpa.

This looks much better. Also I like the mods on the minotaur, it's far better then having to use something like cleglaws on a druid.

On a zealot cleglaws could be good for crushing blow, could test taht too, although I personally would never wear such low lvl gear for a5 normal.

So should a fully twinked char lvl 101 be able to solo hell bosses? we know at level 90 or 92 or whatever you probably can't, but at lvl 101 with full gear all unqiue charms and brains and shit can you?

it's possible I misread what you were saying in that one part. are you saying that last season at lvl 92 you could not solo hell meph? and when you say fully twinked you are implying the char is a higher level too?

basically what im saying is that a fully twinked lvl 101 can solo hell meph but a lvl 92 char that isn't twinked cant solo (unless its poison zon)

Just check my low lvl pally with full cleglaw. Has no cb on it whatsoever. Last patch had 10% cb tho.

Remember reset and "baal bug" ? + one wrong patch with mixed files? PPL muled these old weapons, there was even topic about it.
Edit: tho you can't change actually set items you can change full set bonuses. Ceglaw had it on full set so it might be a display error, worth checking also.
