Post subject:  A few frenzy barb questions
I have a few barb questions:

Is the new 1% dr from frenzy only active when you have the frenzy buff active or is it a passive bonus? If it's active, does it ramp up like the other frenzy benefits?

If you charge up your frenzy then switch weapons to sword/shield do you lose the frenzy effects?

Has anyone tried making a frenzy barb designed to tank with the new buff? Do something like charge up frenzy on the boss and then switch to concentrate for the uninterruptable LL?

I love the new patch, wish I'd noticed the reset sooner though :(

You won't lose that effect so charge up and switch.

I think it was changed to lifesteal for the same amount. I think i read some posts from blue and purerage about that.

Nope and i read a post from purerage on a barb who charges up with frenzy, switches to a two hander and starts ww. I really want to try this so badly with passion runeword included. I also want to see how berserk synergies to whirlwind.

I'm currently running on a generic frenzy barb who is designed to tank with a good number of damage reduction and mdr-pdr along with a not-so-bad hp. After cb nerf and strength buff, it will be fairly easy. I'm currently in normal mode, so i got a long long way from getting my end-game gear.

Tyrael's might and demonhorn edge seems like a long long way from now.

I maxed frenzy and maxed sword mastery.

Even though I am the top barb on the ladder (SHlTBOX) I am considering just deleting him out of rage.

yea, theres only 1 viable barb build right now.

It involves a shield and lots of life

How get lots of life when -50% block rate :shock:

I have a barb on hell HC Ouroboros right now and i cant say i want to delete him, maibe because is my first season here, but 1 think i know for sure; if barbs would have it easy then i would delete mine :).
Ofc all i can do to act bosses and, well, allmost all bosses in act five is go Rock mode and do nothing :)
Oh allmost forgot i tanked Jugernaut with no healer :twisted:

I can still farm well countes council sarina lazarus and tundra with the minions so not to bad.

my stats: life 10400, def 59k fully buffed, dr% 50, dr 180, mdr 160 ( max dr 200, max mdr 250 ).

my setup looks like this:
20 Sword mastery
20 frenzy
20 bo
20 stamina
then max stone skin

The synergys are not worth on HC but they are better than stoneskin in SC.
max first Bo, stamina then frenzy for the DR ( Still not sure if frenzy gives dr or life leach but seems to me it gives dr, donno where all the talk about life leach comes from ), then mastery.

Abuse diamons > rubys, dr as close as u can to 50%, defence as much as u can get (frozen armor is a must, cloack of shadows works very nice to). i stay at 59.000 but i have very few + skills, no barb helm.

Is barb underpowered? U bet.
Do i like it ? U bet. :twisted: U dont like it? Go poison. :twisted:

all those stats seem sooooooo fucking impossible to get when you're still havent got passed normal on hc :P

Is not that hard to get to hell if u keep ur gear uptodate but as a first character one should chose other classes unless ones a masochist .... like me.
