I started HU some days ago and.. I have a question. Are there any skill tables on the internet for HU? I tried google but nothing (except for an outdated druid one). It would come handy sometimes. :)

Thanks in advance.

-----------

Edit:

Download skill tables for all 7 classes to help you plan ahead your character and to see skill progression.

If you have any questions, ideas, problems, do not hesitate to post.

Hmm, I will take it as a no. So then, is there any demand for excel skill tables? It could be put on the Critterkiller site too, maybe. The paladin one is almost ready.

ya - I don't think there are any out there. Would be a cool chunk of info though if you want to put it together.

Here is the paladin one; tell me if I should change anything or made an error/typo/something. Enjoy! Necro is the next.

[removed link because there is a newer one]

The necromancer tables are ready! :) I also did a few changes to the paladin ones - changed the blessed hammer and fist of the heavens damage to unsynergised damage (the damage listed now is without the prerequisite-synergies.) + tried to make it look a bit better.
Anyways, the links are edited in the first post so they are easy to find.

Sorc is the next one, I think.
Criticism is welcome. And of course, tell me if I am wrong about or mistyped something.

Please attach the files to your post directly, instead of going through a file server.

The .xls extention is not allowed by the forum server, but I think a good solution would be to compress all the skill tables into one .zip or something, and then attach that.

Do you have access to any character-editor software that would enable you to generate data for skill levels up to 50? If not, perhaps you could get access to the .txt files that define the skill tier progression, and then just create the skill tables from that :)

Ah, good idea! I wanted to attach it to my post, but couldn't because of the .xls format. But the .zip format is a very good idea, didn't think about it. :D

I have hero editor, so it would be no problem. But.. wouldn't it be way too long in excel, 50 levels? I feel like these 20 levels are way too long already and hard to read. Maybe I could make 2 tables of each class, one of them from lvl1-20, the other one from 21-50. Or just continue it and make it long?

just do every 5 after 20, so 25 and 30 and so on to 50 or every 3 skills to 50, to see it progress.

if you could also include a table where their is one with each synergy to it, at like 1 point into the synergy and 10 and 20 as well. if there is more than 1 synergy, example 2 synergies. do 1, 10, 20, and 2, 20, 40. if 3 synergies do with 3 30 60 as well and so on. depending if they add to the same thing of course.

The 5 levels after 20 is a great idea! :)

I will see how much time will I have, but first I will do the base 20 levels of each class, then everything else. The synergies though, are something that everyone should be able to calculate out easily, but I'll see.

Your skill levels went horizontally, so it would be another 30 columns, which is probably alright.

However, if you want, you could use the text file's Tier progression descriptions, and use Excel formulas to generate the damage/benefit for a given level.

E.G.
FireBolt
Level = input
Damage = MIN(Level,8)*Tier1 + MIN(MAX(Level-8,0),8)*Tier2 + MIN(MAX(Level-16,0),8)*Tier3 + MIN(MAX(Level-24,0),8)*Tier4 + MAX(Level-32,0)*Tier5

Actual Calculation for Level 20
Damage = MIN(20,8)*Tier1 + MIN(MAX(20-8,0),8)*Tier2 + MIN(MAX(20-16,0),8)*Tier3 + MIN(MAX(20-24,0),8)*Tier4 + MAX(20-32,0)*Tier5
= 8*Tier1 + MIN(MAX(12,0),8)*Tier2 + MIN(MAX(4,0),8)*Tier3 + MIN(MAX(-4,0),8)*Tier4 + MAX(-12,0)*Tier5
= 8*Tier1 + MIN(12,8)*Tier2 + MIN(4,8)*Tier3 + MIN(0,8)*Tier4 + 0
= 8*Tier1 + 8*Tier2 + 4*Tier3 + 0 + 0

Sorry if it's still a little confusing, I didn't want to drag out the example too much. The end result might be about 3 cells per skill, 1 for the input level, 1 or more for input synergy levels, and 1 or more for the damage output. I think this would save you a lot of time over using a character-editor to view the data, and then producing large tables for each skill.

If you wanted to be especially fancy, then you could try this:
1) Create 1 Workbook (1 .xls file) for each class
2) Create 3 worksheets in the Excel Workbook, one for each skill tab
3) On each worksheet, arrange the cells for each skill similarly to the skill tab layout, e.g. Firebolt and Warmth would be at the top of the worksheet, below Firebolt would be Fireball, and to the left of FireBall is Inferno while to the right is blank, etc.
4) For each skill, have the damage-output cell reference the level-input of synergies from the other worksheets.

Huhh... Sorry, but those calculations are a bit high for me. :) But if I get you right, you mean some kind of skill calculator in excel? It sounds very nice, but my excel skills don't go that far.

You can almost copy-paste the formula I've supplied, you just need to fill in numbers for Tier1 to Tier5. If you're not too experienced with Excel, then you could split up the damage across two cells, with one for the min and one for the max damage in a range. For example, if FireBolt did 100-150 damage in the end, then you could use one cell to calculate the 100, while the other calculated the 150.

In Excel (and I'm sure every other spreadsheet program), the function MIN() returns the smallest of some numbers, while MAX() returns the largest of some numbers. The rest of the formula is just addition (+) and multiplication (*).

For now though, the tables you've already started creating, especially with the addition of every 5 levels after 20, will be a great reference for those not familiar with HU :)

its easy to edit in excel, you just apply the percentage to the given table and have it display with a header that says the amount of synergies it is.

I think I'll finish my orignal idea first, skill tables somewhat like the ones on Arreat Summit. Then I'll see what can I do for this skill calculator. :)

Sorry for the slowness; I have been quite busy and tired lately.
Pala and necro skill tables got extended to level 25/30/35/40/45/50 and skill trees were added. Check first post for them. Sorc coming soon.

If you find any error, please tell me.

The presentation of the skill trees and tables looks good to me :)

Things I noticed:
1) Necromancer.xls contains "junk" in cells:
V72, T89, T101, U113
2) Paladin.xls Vengeance Synergies should include 1% Pierce for each of HolyFire (1% Pierce Enemy Fire Resistance), HolyFreeze (1% Cold Pierce), HolyShock (1% Lightning Pierce).

Sorceress tables are ready! Took long, I know - a bit of laziness, a bit of tiredness and almost no motivation..

Anyway, enjoy and tell me if you find anything wrong. (look at first post for it.)

Barbarian coming next.

wow! what helpful skill tables!

just gazing at them quickly i worked out its useless to max golem mast... after 25 the diminishing returns is MASSIVE.

so aslong as you have +skills, safe to assume you will have 10 ish, only need say 15 points in it eh.

paladins off auras - holy fire - level 50 is listed as 1560-1372, should be 1360-1372

small error, if it was me i would want to know about it, may be my OCD though

great work on those, perhaps they could be added to the items/rw index at some point.

A question about Dire Wolves: what do they give to the other summons? Spirit wolves give defense and attack, grizzly damage.. but what about dire wolves? They used to give life if I remember correctly, but they don't seem to, here.

Oh and btw, Holy fire level 50 damage: 1560-1572 (not 1360-1372).

Meteor damage is incorrect.

Level 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Fire Damage 80-100 14-22 21-30 28-38 35-46 42-54 49-62

Looks like its off by a factor of ten?

No, because if the level 1 damage is 80-100, how can lvl 2 dmg be 14-22?

I am sorry for the triple-post, but if I edit, no one will know about it.

Assassin is ready, and updated the older tables (new file in first post). I hope these help planning ahead your character..
Also a question: Which skills were changed with the last patches? Since I don't have the patience to go through every skill again, I checked only the ones mentioned in the 1.21x patch notes (If they are not mentioned there, they shouldn't have changed, right?) This means:
War cry for Singer Barbs
Vengeance for Avengers
Fire skills & Rabies for Druids
+ the conviction synergy for the holy auras.
Assassin is ready, Amazon is coming.

I am glad to announce (if anyone cares) that the Amazon tables are ready! Check first post for the new file.

So that is all, they are all ready. If I made any mistakes (which I hope I did not), please tell me and I will fix it as soon as possible.

Edit: seems like I can't upload anymore on the forum ("Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."). :/ I uploaded it to Mediafire instead.
