debatable on whether it is A2 or A5. While the bears get a ton of life, their aggressive AI can get them in trouble and make it hard to pull them out (even with teleport)

Against mobs of random monsters, the conversion skill of A2 mercs is very powerful for tanking.

So to be honest, I don't think there is a "best" between A2 and A5, just differences that you will have to decide which works best for you.

There are more on mercs on http://blue.arimyth.com in strategy section under mercenaries. But, let me tell you my opinions.

1- If you're running on something that can take on overwhelming amounts of aggro, like poisonmancer or ice sorc, i'd recommend werebear.

2- If you're running on something that can boost HP by a shitton, A2 Off because I'm specifically talking on a barb and there is maybe 1 other character that will benefit from might as much as a barb. No matter what type (nobody runs a berserk barb, do they?!).

3- If you're running on a glass cannon, A2 Rec. Hands down.

HF would be too good in A2 mercs btw, why did you remove it :(

not the deep feeling of self-worth that comes from actually earning what you have.

What conversion skill of A2? I think I might be missing something here since I'm new to this mod.

though don't have much faith in melee characters right now, with the huge CB nerf physical melee characters may as well be hitting bosses with a cardboard sword and it doesn't appear the damage boost from str has helped alleviate that.
