Hello.

I am rather new to this mod, and i am enjoying it alot so far.
I'm playing the solo edition, since diablo have always been a singleplayer game for me, that i play whenever internet is not avalible.

So i am at duriel, on my 32 bow amazon, and the first splitsecond i enter the cave he is in, my defensive act 2 merc with pretty good equipment dies. The next moment, i am on the floor, face down.

So i tried again, without the merc and just running in circles and shooting everever possible, but kept getting slowed and killed.

How do i do it right? am i to low level? This is the first boss that i find impossible, whereas the other ones took alot of time, i got them killed eventually.

I have invested most my points in magic arrow and multi shot arrow, along with some in critical strike, maybe that is a terrible setup.

Thanks.

I searched for "Duriel" and found 190 posts. Most weren't relevant (Duriel's Shell armor, Hell difficulty Durielt, etc), but many were. This topic was posted about a week ago, and it directly related to your problem. It even has a solution. If you don't feel like following the link, then the thread is in this Strategy and Tactics forum, about 1/2 a page down from your post. It's also named "Duriel".

Since this is your first char, don't fret too much about your skill point or stat distribution, but expect to fail your first time through. For stats, it's always a good idea to pump vitality, since extra life never hurts. It might be a good idea to keep 5-10 points unspent since you won't know what the requirements are of the next nice bow or armor will be, but don't be afraid of using something like a Hel rune to lower the requirements of something if it's the only reason you would pump your dex/str.

Decoy is an exceptionally powerful tank, probably the strongest in HU. You should consider it, but it won't be needed for Duriel if you read up about him.

Beef up your merc's gear and feed him juvs

Run/walk speed kite him?

Get a javelin and Jab tank him? You did get a point in jab, right...?

Edit, Also get a tanking set on your second weapon set. A shield and a life weapon or something should help you run away when he gets close and slows you,

Allright i killed him without to much trouble with a shield on, apparently that stopped him from onehitting me, so thorns just wore him down.

I however have another question, and this time i used the search function but could not find anything about it.

How do you craft? Is it specified somewhere, or is it just so obvious that i missed it?
I have no idea how it works, tried looking on the net and in patch notes.

Crafting = Magic Item + Gem + Jewel + AdamantHammer

The Gem needs to be Perfect for a basic magic item, starstone for exceptional and moonstone for elite.

Read Blue's site and Critter's site for a lot of other information.
