How the heck to beat Duriel, I'm level 37 assassin playing solo, using both shadow warriors and merc. using no thorn damage started as one player and walking, yet I die the second I walk in. don't have a chance to do anything. Anyone have a suggestion, cause I like this mod and wanna keep playing through. Thanks.

stats, build, hp/mp and equip list would help so we know how you are set up and what you could change.

My sats are strength 83, dex. 72, vit. 60, energy, 65.
hp/mp- 555/142
equip. full hsarus set, 2/3 cleglaws set, venom ward armor, coif of glory helm, nagel ring, nokozon amulet,
and several life and attack rating charms.
I know hsarus shield has thorns so I put on the steal clash shield before going in.

Thorns are a good thing against duriel, so you can use your shield. It is only bosses that spawn a portal that will cause a problem with duriel.

Good luck in your battle!

If you've got the time, craft yourself HitPower armor (FrozenArmor on struck) and toss diamonds into it. The large defence boost and -dr/mdr is a significant help against Duriel and most of Normal difficulty. Also, stand near a wall so that he can't push you back, that prevents him from using leap attack.

Your life is pretty low for that stage. you should really stop investing in dex and str for a while (till at least end of act 5). As Brevan says, diamonds all the way and you will be fine. You will likely be better using dual claws for higher chance to block also. Fill any sockets in the weapons with skulls for added life leech and maybe gamble some claws for the switch with a ctc amp. nice work!
most challenges in this game are able to be overcome, they just take a bit of work, patience, persistence and sometimes a little creativity.

happy gaming!
