Hey guys, im building a FN sorc and i was wondering what shield I could wear.

I was thinking maybe Phoenix or Headhunters, Phoenix mainly for redemp, but im afraid it may not have enough block and res.

My current setup is shit but my future setup would be:

Knowledge rw in +3FN +3CMast orb
Perf cold Templars with 4x 6/6cold facets
perfect cold griff with 3x 6/6 cold facets
Hellmouth gloves maybe?
2x rings +1 sorc str/life mod

Merc would wear doom, tyreals, some leech items.

Use war for armor

hhg for trashing and a spirit ward for bosses and stuff

Well, I want to be able to kill as fast as I can, I thought about War, but having Templars would help me alot more for dmg. Tho it would be cool to have War for life. I don't need defense so much since i have FA maxed.

And what is HHG?

Ohh. Hmm i think im going to go with HHG + Templars for now. I think I may do enough dmg and still be able to not horribly die. Besides, this sorc is for trash.

BTW, any of you have 6/6 cold facets you would like to trade or give

war uses a zod yes? i think i used that on my frost nova sorc with a high defense armor for the massive ggs...

How did you handle a5 trash with your nova? How was your survival>?

I made an fnova sorc a while ago (she been stripped now), who relied heavily on her armour counters for taking down bosses. I filled every possible socket with diamonds and gathered bout 130 PDR/MDR on her by level 70.

she was taking pretty much 0 damage from most things (nm diablo included) and the masses of ranged counters that were flying around totaly raped screens at a time. Coupled in with f nova she was GG on trash and bosses. I would recomend going the diamonds route. From personal experience I'd say its deff the best way to put those armour spells to use. They also go off ALOT faster than you can cast f nova.

Its deff worth a try.

in a5 hell i had no problem with trash, tele, blast, tele, blast, retarded defense and super high reduction was gghammer.

i was accused of godmoding in our 6 player nm diablo game when i tanked him with np.

lmao nm diablo, fnova sorc can tank him all day with no lifebuffs with some diamond love.

Wow really... hmm. I'm going to have to try the diamond route. How was she in hell a5 tho? In Abyss?

i retired mine in a2 hell, stripped her gear to give to a friend, along with her charms etc too. before i retired her she was taking pretty much 0 damage from stuff. If you have lifebuffs they are awesome for tankage. she had no dr% or sorbs either so with say a skulled ward at 95 i would guess she could take a hell of a beating in late hell without any problems. Mine used a staff so she had no block etc either.
