Post subject:  Zealer Paly: Weapon Choices
One of my friends plays a Zealer Paly in our party and I'd like to know what would be his best end game weapon?

I'm thinking it might be an ethereal RARE zod'ed Zerker axe with a high ED/IAS roll?

Or possibly Eth Zerk BOTD or Last Wish?

Or Eth Death Cleaver zod'ed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

His other gear looks like this:

Enigma Archon Plate
Dracul's Grasp
Raven Frost/+1 Paly ring with dual leech and +21 str + resists
Highlord's Ammy
Uber Diamond/Skull/Diamond HoZ
Shadowdancers
Crown of Ages 3x Uber Ruby
Immortal Flesh Troll Belt
Switches between Shaeffer's/Death Cleaver

He has max resists, around 5k life, and max block with HS.

looks like he has very low crushing blow and the ctc lifetap will over write amp making hell bosses take very little damage to his phys attacks. A "War" runeword armour is the obvious choice, nos coil belt is better than imm flesh since it has absorbs etc. The gloves should be blood crafts for a life boost, lifeleech and crushing blow. Boots would be gores. Endgame weapon would probs be an eth zerker or eth schaeffers.

1 point smite + crushing blow is 10x better than using zeal on bosses, as long as you have amp.

Well he usually partys with me, and I'm a poison nec so amp will be there 100% of the time. My party consists of myself, the zeal paly(SAND0), and a ww barb(SLaYAh).

Hmm... I've got the runes and a 15% eth archon plate to make war. I'll take your idea to make him blood craft gloves.

We'll work on getting him an eth shaeffers but what do you mean by eth zerk? Rare eth zerk or eth death cleaver?

Also, thank you for your response :) We managed to get to act 5 hell and are about to fight hell baal for the first time on HU and we're all working on fixing his equipset. The reason why I chose enigma for him is because he did not invest anything into dex and is currently lvl 94. Without the enigma and various dex gears, he was rocking a total of 12% block w/ holy shield. I guess he'll just have to level up a bit and get some hard points into the stat.

try to trade for an anni or get one if you can open them, use a maras amulet to buff dex abit more too. It would be worth changing the ravenfrost for another blood craft with dex on it too, if he uses war he will have CBF anyway. with any luck you will get some dex on the gloves too. smite is alot better for bosses since its an auto hit skill, unlike zeal that will miss a good bit. also pretty much 0 chance of a death to iron maiden. I meant an eth rare zerker if he wanted to go for pure damage but its not really needed. My start of season pally was using obedience for baal for the crushing blow, dex and extra res. as long as you smite it dont matter about the damage on the weapon.
