Hi all,

I was looking at the txt files, but I am unable to find the levels of areas.

Could someone please explain to me how I can determine what kind of items monsters can drop? If I remember correctly, monsterlvl is based on arealvl, with some adjustments for champions etc., but maybe this is not how it works with HU?

Let's say I need a white hydra bow, where do these items start dropping?

Also, not sure if I posted this on the correct forum, where should questions like these (not technical) be asked?

Hydras would probably start dropping in late a3, though I'd run a4 just to be safe.

I have seen the chart (and even the table beneath it, but I think those numbers are suggested character levels) , but I would like to know what the exact area levels are.

Perhaps my example wasn't clear.
Let's say I want to find a cryptic axe (or replace "cryptic axe" with something else), how would I find out in what area it's droppable without me having to post a question on the forum?

the table below it shows the level of the boss in each area, and so does the chart.

hence the label "what level should I be?"

Is there a policy "security through obscurity" active for HU?

Do you think I just pulled numbers randomly and put them in to a table? Really?

obviously blue will not explain and prefers to be cryptic instead of giving a straight answer. The table there details the level of the monsters and bosses. So if the item was say level 90, you would look on the left side for 90 and run along until it meets a "Level line" line. It the case of a level 90 item, they meet around flayer jungle kinda point. (thats about right since zod runes will drop in flayer dungeon).

didn't realize I was being cryptic.

I thought that the tab on the website that says "area levels" would be sort of explanatory.

Levels.txt columns bh-bj

uniques and champs get pluses to their level based on area level. I forget exactly how much they get here.
