Hi all! As far as I can see Ancients quest is a quest for checking if a char is viable . At the moment I have 3 solo chars: fury Druid, poison Necro, whirlwind Barb. And only fury Druid could do Ancients himself. Perhaps I am doing something wrong ?
I always try to go into strategy of wearing as much as possible DR% items but it does not help in case of Necro or Barb.

Any clues on how to beat them with Barb or Necro?

with the nec, get every summon you have available and cast decrep on all 3 as soon as they spawn. Focus on one of them (korlic imo) and lr him, then poison strike then decrep as soon as he is poisoned. Once your summons die, start spamming blades since they have a low cooldown. Keep repeating the, decrep, summon, lr, poison, decrep and you should be fine.

With the barb its just gonna be get as much leech as you can possibly get and some form of amp or decrep. (ctc item on switch).

Run DR and ruby sockets, PDR isn't so useful against things that do huge chunk damage.

Having just beaten the Ancients on Solo, here is some advice that worked for me:

1) Farm Rejuvs for a while. You should have an entire belt and 2 belts full of these on the ground. Normal healing pots won't make a difference. And make sure that you use a potion after every time they hit you, especially at the beginning.

2) Don't beat around the bush but trying to spread them out: go after Korlic right off the bat. Stay on top of him: if you stay right on top of him, his chance to leap goes down, at least from personal experience. Just keep slugging it out on him.

3) After taking him down, go after the spinner. Don't worry too much about the ranged dude. Even with moderate Damage Reduction, you shouldn't have a problem for the rest of the battle.

For gear, nothing special: just get a Sigs Armor and Helmet, and load it up with your choice of SS Rubies and Diamonds (as a barb, I was fine on health, so I went all diamonds).

Use this strategy and you should be fine. Tell me how it goes!
