The text files show that any weapon can get the "Of Ages" mod, which turns them indistructible. When items spawn indistructible, they cannot be ethereal unless they have the "ethereal" mod explicitly coded. This does not apply to items that gain indistructibility via Zod rune.
It sounds like your bow gained "Of Ages" when it was rolled. About the only way to notice this on a bow is if it no longer shows durability, there are fewer mods than normal, or it loses it's eth property. Rolled eth items lose their eth property when they spawn with "Of Ages"

i tried rolling it again and it didnt go back to eth
