you can get away with base to 10 dex. Use dex charms mid game and ameth'd shields (orphans shield is fantastic for easy max block) once you get to late game you will have eni, mancers boots, maras, anni etc. that will give more than enough dex to hit max block. If in doubt use an amethyst in the shield. |

PureRage, good information, but I almost feel like he's looking for an exact number (correct me if I'm wrong). If that is the case, there is a formula somewhere (I'm sure Brevan knows it, mathematician that he is  ) that calculates your total chance to block based on character level, dexterity, block % listed on shield, and perhaps character class. Based on that formula, you should be able attain your answer. Problem is, I don't know it

At 99 you need around 210dex, thats with a upped lidless with an ether in it. My druid has base dex but has 75% block. Anni, enigma, ravenlore, mancers boots. |

I'm doing a traditional caster druid atm, but have stopped since the synergies don't seem to work. |

In what way are the synergies not working for you? I checked the text files, and both Tornado and Twister seem to have the correct synergies working. I made a lvl 33 test-char in SinglePlayer and found the synergies were working fine. I even went into Bloody Foothillls and killed some trash without much trouble. As for this thread's request for the block forumula: %Block = (Blocking * (Dexterity - 15)) / (Character Level * 2) Blocking = A total of the Blocking on all of your items (shield + "increased chance blocking"). For a lvl 100 char, 75% block requires that your (dex-15) * Blocking = 15000, i.e. a 75% block shield requires 215 dex, while a 100% block shield requires 165 dex, and a 150% block shield requires 115 dex. The optimum is at 137 dex with a 123% block shield (probably not easy to get a shield that high though). |

Ozio, from your picture, I can only assume that you think your Hurricane damage is unsynergized? Base level 8 Hurricane Dmg (from text files) is 114-158: Min = 30 (lvl 1) + 7 * 12 (Tier1Min) = 114 Max = 60 (lvl 1) + 7 * 14 (Tier1Max) = 158 You have 15 skill points spent into synergies. If you spent your next skill point into a synergy rather than the skill, then your Hurricane damage would improve by 18-25. If you're still dissapointed with your damage, then consider a 6-Thul sword, it's quite nice for low levels, but it won't help your Twister/Tornado at all. |

hurricane is used mostly to chill enemys that get close to you early on. All your killing power is from tornados. Use an insight flail to get a good fcr boost and you will fly through stuff |
