I'd go Ether stones too, especially if this is softy. Barbs have plenty of survivability in most cases, so that extra dmg is going to really help. |

Well ya - obviously if you can't survive then you should be putting something else in there. That's why I put "Barbs have plenty of survivability in most cases" and also highlighted softy. Really up to the player to decide what their character needs as they have the experience. For example - my rabies druid has 2 open sockets in his Cerebrus. Rubies would be a waste though because with 10k life and the ability to run away, staying alive really isn't his big problem. |

Except that's what you should do due to the fact Strength and Dexterity from anywhere acts the same as putting actual points into those respective stats. Hard points into vitality = more life from BO, IStamina, and Oak. Points in Vitality from gear is not effected by BO, Oak, IStamina, +% to life, etc. Also, what good is being alive if you're not dealing significant damage? |
